Those ideas all sound good to me. The Canadian model is better than ours, but retains most of our cultural norms.

I think the biggest argument will be with the working class whites who would prefer to work 60 hours a week with no benefits than to go for that socialist stuff. Even though it would undoubtedly improve their quality of life. Back in the day, workers used to fight "the man." Now they fight for "the man." Right wing media is good chit!

I prefer providing for myself and being "the man".

Nothing does more to build up the manly bravado than being an inadequate provider right? I glean a certain satisfaction, like you, in being able to take care of myself and my family.

I think you're confusing your own irrational disapproval with actual facts.
What should really bother you is the fact that it isn't implemented yet and so many on both sides of the aisle are saying it's a massive failure... although the Democrats are couching it in terms of "not up to expectations."

It doesn't bother me one bit. Political rhetoric doesn't keep me up at night, I stick to the facts. If you provided some of those scarce little guys then maybe I'll acknowledge your stance. Until then, your fear mongering is a waste of time.

federal buyback program.

After 2 years if you are still in possession of banned firearms then you could be charged with a crime.
