I think you probably know there is no verse that speaks of homosexuals adopting. However God is very clear on how he feels regarding homosexuality. Therefore it isn't much of a leap to know that homosexuals raising children is not in the best interest of the child.

And I don't know of any Christian adoption agency that would adopt to them.

I don't know about this post, but for the sake of stating my opinion. I think that children should be placed in a home with a mother & father however, if such a situation doesn't exist then maybe it's okay for "alternative lifestyle" couples to take them in, especially if it means that they have no other option.

Although my not being 'Christian' may color my feelings

Explain. . . I simply meant am I suppose to be surprised at the number of people who would disagree with my post. I knew that many/most would!

And I also understand that many non-christians lead moral ethical lives.

Suffice to say; our core beliefs are probably identical

Well, you made a statement of what Christians want, therefore you ARE claiming to speak for all Christians. I think my statement was valid.

As for the Bible being clear on this, I'll remind you that Jesus did not have one single word to say on the subject. (In response to the anonymous comment, I'm straight )

So a number of teenaged girls are having babies without getting married while the father remains scare, but there's not much going on to discourage that problem, even though the Bible condems fornication. No father in the household isn't in the best interest of a child, but such life goes on.
