California was never a hyper-conservative state; it was a moderately Republican-leaning state when there was still some sanity in the Republican Party.

There is plenty of sanity left in the Republican party. If you are a lefty and/or liberal though anyone who doesn't agree with your views is supposedly insane.

Your confusion is showing.

Conservative and Liberal are ideologies, Republican and Democrat are political parties or affiliations therewith. They are not the same.

Arnold was the biggest GOP disappointment in recollection. We had high hopes for him, but were let down totally flat by his incompetence and weakness.

Go on believing that you lost the center because the center is now full of commies, and you will do as well in the future as you did in 2006, 2008 and 2012.

There isn't enough normalcy and sanity combined in the DemocRAT party to fill a thimble.

The DemocRAT party is the party of Ulterior Motives.

You should ask: Why did California go to Mexico?

Sorry. I meant to write 'white knight'. As in knighthood purity, no race intended.

Arnold never pretended to be anything but a moderate. If anything he was closer to California Republicans back in the days when they ran the state than the hardcore right wing types of today are.

As far as I am concerned, California is still a part of the United States of America and is subject to it's laws.
