Our Centrist President is trying to move the constipated Congress forward toward reasonable compromise. Will it work?

He should have learned not to offer anything. They'll take his concessions and demand more.

Based on his total failure in the past I doubt he'll get anything done.

He is a very sly Centrist that knows he has a good chance of moving the Country forward by getting Dems back in the House majority in 2014. It's a win/win for him. If the Repubs come to an agreement, Obama wins. If they don't, the American people throw out the Repubs and Obama wins. I suspect he fully thinks the Repubs will, once again, reject compromise.

So what happens when Obama can't even get a budget through the Senate when his own party has the majority? When Obama loses the American people win.

One would have to be totally brainwashed to refer to Barack Obama as, "Our Centrist President." This is a man who is, in his ideology, as far left as one can get.
"...I had the impression that I might have been one of the first to directly challenge Obama's Marxist-Leninist mind-set and to introduce him to a more practical view that saw politics, rather than revolution, as the preferred route to socialism." (snip)

"Whatever impact our encounter might have had on him, I know something about what Barack Obama believed in 1980. At that time, the future president was a doctrinaire Marxist revolutionary, although perhaps -- for the first time -- considering conventional politics as a more practical road to socialism." — Archived-Articles: Meeting Young Obama

Obama has been a Marxist-Leninist all his life. Even his own book makes many references to his affinity for Marixts in his close relationships.

Once again, the refusal of leftists to examine the evidence, the facts of Barack Obama's past, exposes a total lack of any interest in truth. Blind followers of "The One." You are being manipulated, and you and other followers are the chattel of your Progressive overlords. What an oxymoron is the slogan "Forward" for "Progressivism."

As well they should Compromise with the Devil is not an option.

What positions does Obama take on any issues which qualify him (in your mind) as "centrist"? List and explain, please.

It would have to be better than his previous budget plan. NOBODY voted for his previous plan. Turned down in the Senate, 99-0.

Will we see the same outrage at Obama's proposed cuts to Medicare? I am curious to see how those cuts and SS changes offered in his budget gets spun by the media.
