How did Paul get into the primaries without the help from the "shape shifters"?
The Republicans big money candidate (Romney) won the primary even though IIRC he trailed Bachmann, Cain, Perry, Santorum and Gingrich at various points during the primaries. Paul acquitted himself well, especially given he was outspent by a wide margin.

You've forgotten that Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrich, Perry and Cain led Romney in the polls, or a straw poll, at various times during the primaries? Or that Republicans were really reluctant to get behind Romney until the end?
BTW are you suggesting the fix was in for Romney all along? He was not leading throughout the primaries...

Republicans elected Romney in the primaries. I really have no clue what you are trying to argue and I have a feeling you don't either.
So you don't think limiting contributions and putting public financing in place for federal elections would help reduce corruption?
