Charity is a choice.
Charity is always a choice. However, I think part of the issue is the very generous tax advantages charitable gifts receive via sec. 170 when you itemize deductions and have built in gain property. It is a great subsidy for the things I mentioned, but it is laughable to think it really helps out the poor relatively speaking.

How hypocritical. Liberals take this slap in the face.

Bidens adjusted gross income (after deductions) of $385,072. The Bidens paid $87,851 in total federal tax for 2012. They paid $13,531 in Delaware income tax and $3,593 in Virginia income tax.

The Bidens contributed $7,190 to charity in 2012.

wahoo!
