What dismal unemployment record? Jobs are being created every month and the rate is going down. Economy is doing well enough that folks can retire early.
I guess you can ignore the aging baby boomers if you want, but everyone knows that we are gonna go through an influx of more people out of the workforce than in the workforce because of it.

496K dropped out of the workforce while only 156K applied for SS/SSDI.
Why would people who retire early apply for disability? I thought they got in their RVs and toured the country!
They do both of course. Nice disability checks and lots of leisure time allow for plenty of travel. Why else would they be retiring at some large numbers at very young ages?

Well one thing, you never hear of illegals having trouble finding jobs and not all illegals are committing felony document fraud by using stolen identities, so many millions of jobs are now under the table kinds of jobs with untaxed wages.
The labor force is growing at an incredible rate -- about 3 to 4 million a year increase.
