Well maybe Trayvon did have average grades. What possible difference would that make in this case?
Oh, you know, according to some on this thread, it means he had to be up to no good that night and Zimmerman did everyone a favor by getting him off the streets.
They keep throwing up Trayvon's history of minor problems in school and whatever he had on his FB page as some kind of proof that he got what he deserved, while totally discounting Zimmerman's documented history of violence as an adult as being irrelevant.
Zimmerman may have managed to manipulate the system in order to avoid any charges that stuck, but it doesn't mean the incidents didn't happen.
If Trayvon had had a gun on him, assuming he was old enough to have one, I guarantee you, you would be using that as an indication that he was a "thug."

Maybe not you, but if Trayvon had been armed, assuming he was of the legal age, conservatives on here would have been calling him a gun-toting thug and suggesting he was on his way to hold up a store.
