Yes, she did stupid things, but in the context of the times I don't believe her stupidity cracks the top 100 of the stupidity that was generated in Washington DC at the time. If you enjpy having a scapegoat that's your choice, it doesn't change the FACT that it was the same people who sent you there that turned their backs on you.

Everybody who can honestly say they NEVER did a stupid thing in their life stand up and cheer.

Awfully quiet out there
I served,,,did you?..I can't stand having to swap posts with someone who cannot see the forest for the trees so pleas go trolling elsewhere as you lost my attention

Thumbs down Hanoi Jane

What Fonda did was beyond stupid, it was traitorous. Since as adults we are accountable for our actions, she is accountable for being a traitor. Her actions were an afront to all those who served in the military, particularly during the Nam. I believe I was just out of Basic when her photo in the pseudo-nva uniform at the tripple A gun appeared in the U.S. press. Since we were allowed no access to newspapers, radio, magazines, etc. during Basic Training, that photo is etched in my memory. That crap eating expression on her face next to a weapon whose sole purpose was to kill our troops should enrage every American but the thing that really gets me is that it dosen't. When I see her on TV, I change the station. If I see her face on a magazine in a store, I walk away. If we ever came face to face I'd do a 180 ... she dosen't exist; Kudos Uncle Batz. Lou

The trolling is people making allegations about note passing, etc. when it's apparently just rhetoric, there's certainly been nothing remotely close to fact offered to confirm the allegations. You can hate Jane, you can hate Brussels Sprouts, you can hate me; Don Henley was right: " you keep carryin' round that anger it'll eat you up inside " and you've still said nothing to change my opinion that Jane is far from the top of the list of those deserving the blame for what happened during that era. She, as a civilian made stupid comments. Many others, who the American people put their trust in, betrayed the country and the people. Tha'ts a lot more serious in my eyes than a civilian making stupid comments.

And if you're going to attempt to make serving a qualification to judge/comment on the pros/cons of the war then let's note right here that Richard M Nixon himself should be at the very top of the excluded list.

My first post got erased, So She should get polio and i should have the vaccine so i can pore it on the ground in front of her. MOD CUT

I personally think she is a great actress (that movie she did with J-Lo was great), and her heart was in the right place with the protests in Vietnam... however the sitting in the gun turret was incredibly stupid

Here's a pic to get the juices flowin!

I haven't seen any movies where she's even remotely attractive...and that's the only basis I judge ANY woman on.

Thanks Loujr...we who served don't have to prove anything...those that didn't and make allegations do. I would respect the opinion of any Nam Vet who disagrees with me, but one who obviously hasn't served won't get anymore of my time or attention...so I say I bid the trolls farewell.

hanoi jane is despicable and nothing will ever change my mind about that.

I understand your anger and frustration, believe me, but The Mods have no choice but to cut certain words or phrases that sound like bad words. I got your original message and know that all Nam Vets who read this thread did as well.
When it comes to hanoi jane, an American Traitor, any punishment is too good for her.

You do not judge a woman on personality or intelligence?

Wow!

The true measure of her character was when pows slipped her some notes and she in turn gave the notes to the pow's torturers.
No further comment is required, no further evidence is needed. I tend to believe the POW's who related this story over Janes denial.
She has earned all of the hatred that is aimed her way.
