Can also do the same from Mexico.

Anyway, Congress has nothing better to do than follow high profile people around and ask questions.

I'd be more concerned with how Rodman got to visit our "pal" Kim.
We've assassinated people with drones for less reason.

Legal Travel to Cuba - Cultural Tours | Insight Cuba

I think people just desperately love to complain and make themselves look dumb in the process...

You see, no U.S. Airline is allowed to fly to Cuba....the embargo and all that. IF you get caught traveling to Cuba illegally, there is a HUGE fine, plus possible jail time. If I were you, I would check with my friends and see if they had a license before I blabbed to other friends that they traveled to Cuba.
Really?

"REUTERS/Claudia Daut
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) has authorized eight new airports across the country to offer flights to Cuba, following President Barack Obama's decision to ease travel restrictions to Cuba early this year.

In January 2011, the Obama administration vowed to loosen the travel restrictions on US citizens for traveling to Cuba allowing students and church groups to travel to the communist country, which has been under U.S. economic embargo for almost 48 years.

The new airports permitted to provide flights to Cuba include Tampa, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, San Juan, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Atlanta.

Earlier, Miami, New York and Los Angeles were the only airports in United states that were allowed to host Cuba flights."

So the hundreds of thousands of Americans who visited Cuba last year through groups such as National Geographic did so illegally?

Where did you get that number? Do you have anything to back it up? The Embargo and travel restrictions are still in place, so WHO is keeping track of illegal visits? Or are you saying that over 300,000 Americans travel to Cuba legally every year by getting approval and a license from U.S. Treasury prior to their trip?

I have no doubt many Americans go to Cuba illegally every year; however, I would be stunned to know that any legit source of the numbers exist. The way Americans get away with traveling to Cuba via another country is that the Cubans do not stamp passports so that there is no official documentation of the visit. Why would Cubans do that? Well, for tourism dollars.

U.S. airlines isn't allowed to. However, other airlines are. My question is this. Why is the U.S. trying to make travel into the Cuba so hard? The U.S. once propped up some horrible dictators, especially the likes of the Duvaliers, Saddam Hussein, and Ghaddafi.

The travel restriction to Cuba goes back to 1961.

It would still be illegal.

"This restriction includes tourist travel to Cuba from or through a third country such as Mexico or Canada. U.S. law enforcement authorities enforce these regulations at U.S. airports and pre-clearance facilities in third countries."

It's the reported estimate. We don't know the makeup of that number of the amount who traveled legally or "illegally".
