The democrats and like who agree in shredding the 2nd amendment using these tactics will have a special place in hell for them to burn with Lanza.
Especially Democrats, they are the most un-American people within this country and are treasonous and belong in another country of their own to ruin and defile.
How truly disgusting. The gun huggers are upset because the parents of those TWENTY children aren't thinking like the gun huggers want them to think.
How dare those parents go on national TV and remember their children who were torn to shreds by bullets before they turned seven. Don't they know the gun huggers don't want America to think about what a dead six-year old with half his face torn away looks like?
There is no link to the 60 minutes story, so I don't know who they interviewed or MORE importantly who they showed.
Did they interview EVERY parent? Did they show ONLY the parents that supported THEIR anti-gun agenda.
Did you see the parent who spoke before Congress? Was he shown in the 60 min show?

Don't forget the town of Aurora. Why didn't they have full-body scanners, metal detectors and a pat down for people who go to the threatre? If they had all that in place James Holmes could have never gotten through the doors. Obviously the town folk didn't think about the possibly that someone, one day, would decide to go in there on a shooting spree. Shame on them!!!!

not one of these people mentioned the lack of security controls at the school. The answer is some sort of useless gun control law? How about preventing a homicidal mental case from walking in the front door of a target rich environment? I heard some of the parents claim 11 children escaped because the shooter had to reload; how many would have escaped if the shooter couldn't get into the building?
I believe the citizens of newtown are responsible for the death of the children. They failed to protect the children. Rather than admit failure they are blaming an inanimate object.
Perhaps we need a Medgar Evers moment, so the irrational and paranoid gun activists/extremists can see the tragedy/travesty their decades of propaganda and fear mongering helped create!
Didn't the murders of 20 small children have any impact on you? Is it hard for you to believe that some people were genuinely shocked and horrified at this tragedy and want to prevent another?
Certainly it did. It also made me realize we have to deal with the mentally ill differently in this country. However, no tragedy nor small group of families should dictate changes to our Constitution and infringe on our rights.
And you and others, including Obama and his pals, ignore the fact that the restrictions put on us will not prevent another tragedy. Like the stupid law in Connecticut that just gut shoved through, all it will do is punish responsible people, and is nothing more than a pat ourselves on the back, feel good garbage.
The problem with mass shootings are with the mentally ill/deranged. And more often than not, their are clear signs that get ignored. To use that and go after our rights is irresponsible and UnAmerican.
