Can we expect zero gun crime now?

No more than can we expect people on this board to post critical thought out responses to legislation, other than knee jerk "my guns my guns". . .

I think colorado's limits will have an impact (though no goal should/can be "end"). New York and Conneticut though. . would need federal backing. . .since so many states so little time between states. . .easy to circumvent the laws.

So you're admitting the failure of liberal ideology?? It sure as hell sounds like it. Otherwise, what's the point of those laws???

It your attempt to be all smerky and insulting, do you realize you just agreed with the right wingers?

These are window dressing laws that will have virtually no impact on gun deaths.

Victory!

The vast majority of shootings are committed by people linked to smuggling, aka the drug trade.

Last I checked, heroin, meth etc. were illegal in every state.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be some reasonable laws in place but what we have is a largely urban gun problem that politicians won't address for fear of angering their constituency. So, they blame the guns and pass the buck.

Since you are "from Chicago" tell me why Austin (the neighborhood west of the loop) has a murder rate 40x higher than Lincoln Park?

Well, you have the gun mfgs & sellers(NRA) against cutting into their sales. What would happen to them if it went Nationwide? After all, with every bullet sold, there is a potential little target that might get away.
