There are SO many programs but not much is said about the endless bureaucracy and administration costs in running them.

Our service providers should give us an option in our bills to opt out of paying for these programs.
I'll vote for that!

I'm sick of supporting welfare slugs. I can't afford a smart phone with an expensive plan; why should anyone who can't afford one have one? And at my expense?

Nope! Go Galt!

Yeah..that "modest tax" is now up to 15.7%.

And telecommunication companies are not mandated by the government to pass the cost on to us..this is their "contribution" to society.

And for the "it's not a tax" people..the FCC owns this and sets the rates and doles out the money.
The telecommunication industry is just the middleman here taking their cut as the money gets REDISTRIBUTED.

The lifeline program cost $2 billion and this new "Connect America" program is estimated to cost $4.5 billion so expect your "modest tax" to increase each quarter.
