I like what Adam Carolla said on the O'Reilly Factor. It doesn't matter if gay marriage passes people will keep pushing for more and more. Two gays will want to be married at the Crystal Cathedral and the whole thing will have to go back to the Supreme Court about that and on and on.

It was built with donations from some of the most ultra-conservative people in the country. FOX is predicting a gay marriage court case there? How fabulous. Why should someone be fired for thinking and speaking in a manner that some do not agree with. There is a major irritation regarding the modern gay revolution. That irritant is in the fact that they are attempting to form some sort of new and dominating elite. What is more irritating is in the fact that the supporters of this movement are progressives who are NOT gay.
Everyone picks on gays- the gays are not the problem it is the social engineers that push their agenda through. The priest is a priest. His job is to say - this is good and that is not good...why is that an offence. People should grow thicker skins. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech and there is no such thing as hate speech...unless it incites to harm others...where is the harm?
Preachers/priests should be allowed to teach and preach the Bible how they interpret it and run their churches by those values. Don't like it? Find another congregation that agrees with you. There are plenty.

People in general should be allowed to say what they think and advise others on what they believe is good for them. If this guy is telling so called gay students to refrain from intimate sexual contact that is not an evil thing. He is simply giving them guidance. Some might interpret this guidance as oppression...Would this guy be made the bad guy if he told super fat people to eat less?

Exactly. These students should to go a gay-affirming bishop if that's what they want. Freedom of religion is a good thing, and conservative Christians are protected by it just as much as liberal Christians and atheists.

Many Catholics support gay marriage. The people who comprise a church will always be more important in the long run than those who "reside" over it. It isn't about "breaking the church down," but about returning to those things that Jesus felt the need to focus on/teach.
You do know what you said is the Catholic Church does not care what the bible and Jesus said about things? No way can the Church change the bible, no matter how many people in the Church thinks it should be changed.
This is how we got the Protestant churches. How many now? Thousands who keep breaking off when they don't agree with each other but the Catholic Church has kept going for over 2,000 years. Thanks for the info. So that is why Adam Carolla said that, he lives in CA. FOX didn't say that, Carolla did. I doubt they will ever allow a gay marriage there. Maybe if they get a priest who rebels against the bible.
