To whomever sent me the anonymous rep saying the Obamas "turned it into the Chicago ghetto". One of the performers, Mavis Staples, sings gospel and is a part of one of the most famous Christian singing families in the country. Al Green is a wonderfully talented gospel singer. If you have a problem with people singing in church, or think singing songs about Jesus Christ is a bad thing and consider them all "ghetto" sign your name next time so we'll ALL know your feelings on the subject. Thanks.

Then let these rich singers and celebs foot the bill for this crap!! NOT US!! Timberlake could have paid for this whole thing himself!!

Perhaps you can explain to us just what added taxes you're talking about.

No, it's not. What it points to is the conservative double-standard. What was common for all other presidents is now an outrage when Obama does it -- and the reason is unabashed Obama hate.

The Obama socialist regime needs to court the popular entertainment heroes as it uses them as shills to attract the failed products of the Nat Teach Assn who are unable to differentiate political elections from participation in 'dancing with the stars'.

Sure, it is hard to justify Obama's wasteful spending but the real concern is the intent of his actions.

At no time does he ever provide his complete vision. The nation is fed drabs of isolated info without perspective. Obama is the voice on your auto GPS who tells you to 'make a left just ahead' and assumes you know where you, or in this case, where his is going.

We have to get in the car, play with our games, stop asking where we are going and Obama will let us know where we are going when we get there.

The Pelosi caution that 'we have to pass it to see what is in it" was the shot heard round the world and announced the 'poultry management' phase of the American people.

I think you are misreading the cause of the outrage. It is not that Obama shouldn't be able to do what other Presidents have done. The outrage is due to Obama's constant wailing about sequester cuts and his deliberate choice to make cuts that harm the most people. If White House tours are over, the concert should have been pulled due to the security costs associated with it, or the costs associated with the concert could have been privately paid.
If things are truly so bad because of the sequestration cuts, then all activities at the White House and all unnecessary travel should be eliminated.

These galas should not be happening no matter which of the two worthless parties are in power. It shows the contempt they have for the American taxpayer.
