Nope, I would not be okay with that. I don't drink and drive I I'm not going to get inconvenienced because of others stupid actions.
Think of how many inconveniences there are to normal people because of a few bad ones. I'm tired of it. Lets go after the bad ones and help them make better choices.
Another gadget in one's car that can break. Can you imagine this device not working properly 6 am in the morning when attempting to go to work? Car will not start, then the engine light comes on, a $30 headlight module goes bad, anti lock brake idiot light goes off..........Car works perfectly fine and it will cost you $1000 to fix all the idiot gadgets.
you drive drunk you lose your license for several years. DD is not a mistake, you do not fall into a pool of beer and then accidently fall into your car. you drive drunk on purpose, if you harm someone, you should do 5 years. if you dont harm anybody, they you need to lose the privilege to drive for 5 years.
but if you DD and get caught 10 times, that is pathetic, the law needs revamping
Ok, so you put DWI people on a registry for life, and what do you do with it, not allow them near vehicles?
In other countries, one offense and you never drive again.
That's a lot closer to how we should do it here.
Driving is a privilege, not a right.
I am not for silly gadgets in cars. I am for harsher punishments for violators. Jail time the first time does not fit the crime. Neither does a fine. Not being allowed to drive for the rest of your life...that's a different story and a true deterrent.
I would have a problem with a breathalyzer system in ever car and I don't drink in drive. Laws that punish everyone for the actions of a few have no business in society.
