SO,

In summary people will still buy and sell weapons out of the back of their car on street corners and any "law" that says it is illegal is useless? Got it.

I know; I don't remember saying otherwise.

Using that same logic traffic signals are useless since some people will violate the law

People who break the current laws will not stop following them if you suddenly make new ones.

If you go to a gun show knowing that you are ineligible to make a private party purchase, yet make one, you are committing fraud. That is already illegal.

Find a dealer near you that will accept the transfer of the firearm for you.

Fine. But, we don't need an, entirely new system to accomplish that. When you want to sell a gun, privately, you and the buyer go to the local gunshop, pay the guy, he runs the check, life is good. It, surely, adds to time and cost, and dealers dont like this. There's no money in it, and time is money, so, the fee would probably need to be cost+10 or something, business is business.

This "expansion" drivel is just that. The banners WANT a new system for private sales, because it would require a national registry, thus, the current system, that works fine without one, could be superseded, and BINGO, The antis get their national registry.

Under Brady, no serial numbers are recorded, if you pass, the search is deleted. Privacy is maintained. Ohhhhj, but the gun haters don't like that. They feel, ic we own guns, our lives should be an open book to the government. I will pass, thanks.

The argument that unless a law passed is 100% effective, it shouldn't be passed, fails on inspection.

We shouldn't have tax-evasion laws because some people are still going to cheat on their taxes.
We shouldn't make rape illegal because some people will still commit rape. So why bother?

The proposed gun laws will make it harder for undesirables to acquire guns. It won't stop all but many lives will be saved keeping some guns out of the wrong hands. Isn't that worth it?

All it does is say gun dealers have to do BGCs on sales. LMFAO Really? that is exactly what is going on now. You have bought the shell game and don't even know it.
99 percent of private sales are through FFL's?

Gun laws in the United States by state - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Online between individuals, seriously doubt they are done thru a licensed dealer. Who's to know if the sellers are not bulk weapons buyers in many cases?
Federal law prohibits an individual shipping a firearm to anyone other than a manufacturer, a federally licensed dealer, or a gunsmith. If someone does do a private sale it would be face to face. In the case of my state that means both the buyer and seller have to be licensed.

We will not ship firearms directly to you. They will be sent to your local FFL (Federal Firearms License) Dealer, who will then perform any background checks and paperwork required in your state/locality. We do not ship firearms to non-FFL holders.
Feel free to keep trying though. It's fun to watch.
