So, basically what you are saying is that the current laws are NOT enforced, however, you being a leftist want more laws that will NOT be enforced...but hey it makes people feel good.....right...

from your link:

hundreds of violations over the past several years.

Just in case you missed this little tid bit....

However, glad to see that the government is finally doing what they are supposed to do....after having HUNDREDS of violations...

I wonder which of the hundreds weren't "serious" enough? Is this what you gun owners call "responsible?"
HAhahaa...you mean the law did not enforce the law.......

I don't know where you live, but here the police only respond to crimes in progress. You call and tell them someone broke into your car and they tell you that's to bad and hang up. Cities with 115k people will have 10 officers on duty during swing shift. Some cities have 1 police officers for over 10k people. Local police do not have the time or resources for background checks.

Our checks are done by the State Troopers. Any arrests, in the matters I mentioned, fell under local PD, SO, or State troopers, whomever was available to respond. They probably could not have responded, fast enough, to take the guys in the store, but sheesh, got a name, an adress and way enough cause to track them down.

It's not like the cretins are overly smart, even walking into a gun store is a parole violation, let alone trying to buy a gun. What frosts me the most, is, I got pulled over for basic speed a short while back. I have a CCW. I did not have my gun with me, but, I was put over the hood by this kid. Im LEGAL, I get tossed, while felons, trying to buy guns, get ignored.

There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with that.

I agree, but very difficult to prosecute so the need to pick their battles, unfortunately ignorance of the law is a big defense and difficult to prove criminal intent, the ATF first priority is getting some of the purchases that fell through the screening and felons got their hands on guns, not sure how that occurs but it does.

Ignorance of the law does not absolve one of breaking the law. Neither does intent.

Since when do you need to run background checks for ammo purchases?

Sad thing is the 'pension and retirement' funds these guys have set up for themselves would easily fund more cops on the street.
