Oh, wait ... I know! It's because Obama is doing it that makes it different!

All righty then.
When your hero raised the tabacoo tax 2000% in 2009 was very noticed. hence the birth of a new black market.2000% is not a fair or average tax hike for any once legal product.

States do tax roll-your-own. Maybe grow-your-own will flourish next.

Smoking and obesity are the main cause of our outrageously unfair and ridiculous healthcare system.
Obesity alone is a factor in 70% of healthcare provider claims. Damage from cigarettes usually means therapy for the rest of ones life. People should pay a premium on selfish indulgences. If your habit of choice effects other people, it should cost you.
How many obese people think crackheads are irresponsible? Well, apply that same theory your own habits.
Tax, tax tax away . . . More please

They are all one trick ponies since they know they can single out smokers because they do not have a coalition to grease palms in DC. It makes them easy targets for our gutless leaders. I doubt we will see to many {R}s commenting since congress and Bush did this exact tax just a few years ago to fund health care for children. Obama learns well this time it is to provide day care for 4 year olds and people act like their is a difference

Ahhh, you would think that, wouldnt you... But then they do things like outlaw cigarette rolling machines so limit that from happening.

State shuts down roll-your-own cigarette machines / LJWorld.com

You know I find it funny how the anti-smoking NAZIs want to tax smokers for their little pet projects such as funding sports arenas (sin taxes were used to fund stadiums for the Browns, Indians, and Cavs) yet we are banned from smoking in them, or limited as to where we can smoke in those places.
