We're a service economy. You expect high paying jobs from service ?
Think again my friends.

High speed stable internet allows the high paying white collar office jobs to be done in other countries where labor costs are a fraction of what US labor costs are.

Companies are able to continue making profits because they are cutting costs in areas like labor and components that make up their products.

In the internet age capital can move quickly around the globe. Many workers in the West can be replaced by those in the developing world. Wages will converge between the Western world and developing nations. Great for the consumer, great for the businessman, not so good for Western workers. Not a damn thing anyone can do about it. Protectionism would just make things worse.

You simply show that you have no clue as to how things actually work when you post things like this. You really should take a few years and try and learn before asking silly questions like this.

There is no demand for the jobs to be created. One employee can not be a self sustaining entity. You can not hire 20 people to start spending their money to sustain those 20 jobs.

Totally agree. Globalism will be the great "equalizer" and we have to come down several notches as emerging countries go up.

Plenty you can do on the individual level though..adjust and adapt to the changing environment.
OR..like many are doing, complain and hope that government will create a job for you or raise your pay.

You need to put on your "global" thinking cap. Companies are expanding and hiring in emerging nations.
Companies go where the money is and where people are moving up in their standard of living and can afford their products. It's cheaper to build and operate mfg plants locally in those countries.

Never said he was punishing job creators. I said his policies have allowed the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer.

In case you didn't notice, Romney didn't get elected. Talk about him all you want. Doesn't matter what might have happened had he been selected.

What we know for 100% fact is that under President Obama's economic policies the rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer.

The rich are getting richer because their wealth is increasing.
They don't rely on salaries.

You cannot equalize "wealth" among everyone.

Stunning that democrats and Nancy Pelosi say food stamps was a stimulator lol. Do democrats really believe that? I'm still waiting to see how Obama plans on growing the economy from the middle class out. How is that working for Obama supporters so far.
