As a person unemployed for a number of months one of the mpre productive things I have done aside from drinking is occasionly visit Buffets. I am surprised by people who go to buffets on their lunch break. Eating at a Buffet is a science and an exercise that requires extreme concentration and dedication. It involves eating 4 plates and savoring each bite and then going up for dessert. Going in there on a lunch break. quickly stuffing your face , and then heading back to the office is counterproductive. I am sure it affects 2nd half productivity. I do not see the fun in this. If I was a boss or manager I would forbid my employees from eating at buffets while at work.

Expensive, unhealthy, waste of time.
Instead, go work out at lunch break and bring leftovers from home.

People who eat too much at buffets should go to grocery store and buy $8.00-$12.00 worth of food and take it home and try to eat it all. The idea behind a buffet is something for every one not everything for some one. I have decided I can't go to them anymore, I don't have the discipline.

I agree. I did it once and fell asleep after lunch. In fact, I always eat a pretty light lunch and then snack on some nuts or fruits in the afternoon.

When I went to buffets at lunch, we had been working (physical labor) all day. Most of us would have 3-5 full plates plus dessert.

I go to a buffet about twice a month during lunch. As of matter of fact, I went to a buffet today. It was great.

Loose Cannon IS a loose cannon with this kind of humor!

But yes, I've eaten at buffets for work lunches (usually b-day or going-away parties for employees), and returned to the office stuffed, tired, bewildered and a little gassy. Almost useless until I down some caffeine to make it thru the day.
