Then why do you think you have to repave your own road due to less paying Federal Income Tax ?
FYI, many states divert their gas tax money to fill shortfalls in other budget areas.
Gas tax covers more than 50% of DOT budgets and you have taxes going to national and federal agencies to be spent.

So you don't enjoy having interstates and a military designed to defend and protect the country?
In my state, the interstate is being by-passed with private toll roads that are much better to travel on and you can go 85-90 mph.
Using the rainy day funds, they are buying them and making them toll free.
...but yeah, go ahead and keep whining about how the successful are getting punished.
That's all Obama paid, his effective tax rate was only 18%. Meanwhile he complains that people in his tax bracket don't pay their fair share.
