What states help their low income citizens the most? Ga wasn't bad but I have heard they stopped letting medicaid pay for glasses,I just found out NC has as well. I guess its OK for kids to be able to see at school but not for adults to make sure they don't run over people on the road...ya know because EVERYONE can afford 150$ for a pair of glasses...Anyways...what states actually help their citizens? Guess I need to find this out before I move to a different state...hating my current state more and more every day.

Or -- here's an idea! -- you could try to earn more money.

Why do you want the government to steal other people's money on your behalf?

Would love to...got any brilliant ideas on how to do that? See what I would like to do for a living requires good eye site and seeing how I can't afford new glasses that means my eye site sucks and I won't be able to pass the eye test.so....answer the question or go troll another thread.

The states that "give a crap" about their citizens the most are the ones that take less of their money for giveaway programs to others.

My state is one of the better states for welfare programs. We are one the more generous states in the whole country when it comes to that. At the same time, we have nowhere near the illegal immigrant problem that less generous states do, very interesting. Especially since, as we all know, the illegals are ONLY here for our welfare

I'd suggest California, but you've already ruled out this state on account of excessive liberalism -- the kind that is designed to help people like you.

Here is a genuine helpful tip: Did you know that you can order cheap glasses online? I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention any company names without violating the TOS, but I'm sure a smart fella like you can figure out how to find one. I've ordered several pairs of glasses that way. We're talking single-vision, nice-looking prescription specs for $20 or even less.

You're welcome.

Here in Texas we have 3 of the most poorest counties in the US.
But we also have a lot of undocumented Americans living there.
