Ever since the advent of the terrorist attacks that happened on the eleventh of September of the year 2001, our domestic espionage budget has increased, and the liberty of the people has shrunk. Our own tax dollars are used to treat American citizens as suspects. I was never really comfortable with this since domestic espionage merely treats the symptoms, not the cause.
What is your opinion of this rapid growth government industry?
I'm sick about what's become of our country in the aftermath of 9/11. My wife and I are patriotic US citizens and recently both the US Justice Department and the NSA have invoked the "Glomar Response" on our FOIA's which basically means that they will neither confirm nor deny if we're on a watch list.
Maybe if the FBI wasn't so busy harassing innocent Americans like us they would have been able to stop the tragedy which just occurred up in Boston.

There are marathons being held across the country. Maybe not at the same time, but it takes a lot of money for a police department to monitor things, and unlike the war on drugs or traffic, monitoring for safety from events such as these costs a lot, and they don't generate profit.

It takes a lot of money and our national Intelligence budget of $60,000,000,000 is a lot of money.
I'm a young man, where should I go to avoid the onslaught?
The United States is like the Titanic in that when it goes down it's going to suck a lot of people down with it. Your best bet is to stay here and man up.
