"What" have we turned into exactly? Was the man ever taken into custody? No. Tortured? No. He cooperated with the police. He was cleared. End of story.
So, basically, you think his Middle Eastern descent had nothing to do with him being questioned?
Under what reasoning did the police have for singling him out for questions and an apartment search if it wasn't for his nationality and/or ethnicity??
Hmm...let see here, "not a cause" to automatically identify the Saudi National for questioning??? Hmmm....we have 3 people dead and 176 injured, at least 18 severly, from an act of terrorism, and that is not a cause?
No, it's not. There were 500,000 people in Boston for the marathon. Why should he have been singled out?
His name was never published. He was never in custody. He cooperated with authorities and gave permission to have his apartment searched.
I'm not sure how he was so persecuted?
As for the rest of the questions - do you know if any other people of ANY color that were searched, questioned, etc? No, you don't.
Personally, I think it might be a white guy. First place to look is in the WH - I think Bill Ayers frequents the place. And this attack has Weather Underground written all over it.

What if he said no, I dont want to answer any questions? No, I don't want you to search my apartment? Was he free to go at any time or was he detained?

Police do have the right to ask questions. You have the right not to answer. They dont have the right to illegally detain you.
What, are you making the case that it is incomprehensible that a Saudi national might try to harm this country? I think it's a perfectly logical reaction to assume that it is someone with a middle-eastern background responsible for this disgusting act of terrorism.
We'll find out eventually, but here are some things to keep in mind. From No Quarter - "If they find traces of PETN and RDX then the source was probably SEMTEX. It there is TATP, however, then the attention will turn to a Salafist group with ties to Al Qaeda."
No, that's not what i'm saying at all. I want to know why THIS Saudi was singled out? Just because he was on the sidewalk? Is that how you want to be treated?

Remember what happened to the Ambassador to Libya, and three other embassy employees? The brutality, rape and torture they endured before being killed...just one example. Your white guilt trip doesn't work....sorry!

Hell no, I'd rather be in bed with a hot babe. But he was a Saudi and bombs exploded. Tough on him. I don't hear him whining about it, why are you?

How do you know he was singled out? Do you know for a FACT that nobody else was questioned? Why, because the MSM said so?
How do we know what the cameras show. If they show a person of Middle Eastern descent, but avoid questioning anyone of that description because we might hurt their feelings, are you OK with that?
Until you are involved in the investigation, you don't know what anyone knows.

Please show me where this man was illegally detained?
