"A Gooba Gobba State of Mind" - parody I wrote dedicated to Boston and other random thoughts how this messed up world....................... I don't know - you decide.
Some folks like to get away
Take a a whole years pay and go buy some looks
Hop a flight to an oily beach
Or visit Pyle's Gollywood
But I'm trapped at the fairground
On the Scrambler of my mind
I've known some gooba gobba times
I've seen all these movie stars
With their rent-a-lawyers and their bargain pleas
Seen high priced atheletes shop the backdoor at Walgreens
But I know what I'm feeling
And son, the loving cup don't lie
I'm deep in gooba gobba time
It was so easy hiding day by day
Out of touch with the mailman's views
But now we need a little give and take
The New York Times, The Murdoch News
It comes down to reality
And it's fine with me 'cause truth is who decides
Don't care as long as you turn off this perpetual scrambler ride
I've long run out of reason
In this loving cup reprise
I'm out of gooba gobba mind
It was so easy once like birthday cake
Out of touch with the greater world's dues
But now we need a little give and take
The Marathon, lifeless running shoe
It all comes down to reality
And it's fine with me 'cause I've drank that wine
Don't care if the freaks are hostile 'till dinner time
I have run out of reasons
To embrace the latest rhyme
I'm in my gooba gobba mind
I'm just taking hiatus and disguised as Larry Fine
I'm in my gooba gobba mind
