We are not, and have never been, a christian nation.
We are a nation of many religions. I am just as free to pray to my god, or pray to none at all, as you are.
No one is stopping YOU from praying, or going to church, or having a cross in tour yard, or reading your bible, or passing out your religious literature, or knocking on doors, or renting billboards, or anything else in public.
Do what you want, but don't expect everyone to follow your beliefs. Freedom of religion, doesn't mean the freedom to force others to follow YOUR religion.
I don't ask that people follow my religion. I do ask that they shut the hideous pieholes about it, though.
Some anti-Christian, anti-God posts right here are beyond the pale. If one doesn't believe in God, one shouldn't froth about those who do.
And btw, yes, people in America ARE indeed prevented from using their own time and their own facilities to worship. I have never heard of a Tupperware party being raided and shut down, but I have heard of people being forbidden from using their garage to hold a prayer meeting.
I suppose you've never heard of a Nativity Scene being shut down. Might offend someone.
Effective prayer is private. Group prayer is simply for show.
As much as I appreciate corporate worship on Sunday mornings, I do agree with this.
Far too much of contemporary worship strikes me not as giving praise to God but as "look at me while I praise God."

Intolerance much?
You don't support freedom of speech, not surprised.

Works both ways.
And that garage "prayer meeting" was a weekly event with over 50 people in a residential neighborhood, in a building not built to code for having groups of people, and inadequate parking. I would be ticked off if my neighborhood was crammed with cars every week too.
The nativities that were shut down, was because they wouldn't share public space with others. Either everyone can use the public space or no one can.

I wouldn't begin to try to explain to you that freedom of speech has nothing to do with it. No surprise that you don't get it.

Your puny excuses don't hold water and have nothing to do with a single thing. And you know it. The feeble attempts by you and others to pile on me when I haven't said a single thing about my religion (if I have one) show you for what you are.

It's OK, though. It's your eternity.
Come down off of your cross, someone else needs the lumber.

Why? You don't seem to be capable of shutting your pie hole about it. Why should others?

Some Pro-Christian, Pro-God posts right here are beyond the pale. If one believes in God, one shouldn't need to have every law, event, or space cater to it.

Intellectual dishonesty. Having a Tupperware Party != Weekly (or more frequent) meetings of groups of people using up an entire neighborhood's parking.
But please, feel free to post a link to the story in which a non-frequent garage prayer group of only a few people was shut down solely because of their religion. I'm curious to see how intellectually dishonest you are.

Only ones put up by government entities or ones incapable of allowing other religious objects to share the same space.

Yes. Yes, many Christians are.
As for the topic, nothing stops individuals from public prayer. Just don't expect the government and/or a given group to lead it or let it take over a given event or space.
Silly people. Can't even keep up with the news or do their own google searches.
