They used a helicopter with heat thermal imaging to see if he was under the tarp, they saw him and used a robot to remove the tarp. technology played a big role in finding this guy.

Just, no. No way do you get to blame the US for a few brainwashed fanatics. Those guys had a lot going for them here. One had a scholarship. They were both doing well. The former coach of the dead one said he had been a friendly guy and something happened between then and now. We all know what happened, probably fueled by certain web sites and it has nothing to do with the people here mistreating young athletic Russian men. Heck they probably had women chasing after them and guys thinking they were cool. It's hard to fight these radicals who get into the heads of young people regardless of where they live.

I'm unsure about the success, they shut down a whole city, while the suspect was 2 blocks from the perimeter hiding in a boat? Allowing backpacks, will become a thing of the past. NYE in NY, no backpacks allowed, thousands of people congregated in one area and no incidents.

Yep; the situation is contained to the greater Boston area with only a few million or so citizens at risk. Sheesh!

The second one was caught because an alert homeowner noticed some blood on the side of his boat stored in his backyard that had already been previously checked out by police.

The worst possible outcome of all of this is you cease to demand higher performance and responsibility of your many costly and overlapping enforcement agencies.

It's only going to get worse .
Without the response of the police, national guard, and FBI, those terrorists would have escaped from Boston. Because of their response, they were unable to escape from the area and were caught. If the younger boy could have escaped from the area, a citizen would not have seen him in his boat. Get it?

A tip from the homeowner that blood was on the boat canvas that was called in was the finding of the guy. With all that man power and the guy on foot and wounded, do you really think he was all that dangerous?

Read my post and re-read.

Yes they got a tip from a guy walking his dog, so they used technology to see what was up with the boat.

Failure? Are you kidding us? I would call it a success.

BTW, the Boston Bombers also had, and fired, guns. If anything was to be considered a failure, it is that we do not have universal background checks for guns.
Do you know how silly that sounds.. with all that manpower and it took hours and hours. It is shameful how ineffective our security teams are.. and so many of them all together..

Yes, he was expected to have explosives.

Was he armed? The homeowner pulled the tarp away and saw the guy laying there and called the police. He probably would have died from blood loss, he obviously didn't shoot the homeowner, nor did he try to get away after being discovered by the homeowner.
