In reality, it strictly applies to Islam only, and children are not allowed in mosques in many parts of China.

I know it is impossible to pass such laws in a religious country like America.
However, it would be nice if parents can wait until their children get older.

Bet you're glad you mom taught you to wipe your own butt!
I'm gonna teach my kids whatever the heck I want to teach them. What they do with it after they move out is up to them......

Faith forms in childhood. Hard to change afterwards.
There are exceptions of course.

My BIL's parents let their children chose when they were old enough. Problem is they never chose. Parents have the right to teach their children the religion they belong to. Do you want a household where the parents go to church but not the kids? How naive is that?

I know there is a movement to take kids away from the parents and away from their influence like the Communist countries, but we are free here to raise our children the way we want to raise them, thank God. We are still free.

Children are smart enough to figure out that Santa, the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy are not real, but by the time they grow up religious indoctrination has done its damage.

To become well rounded adults, it's important for children to learn about all major religions, what their parents believe and why they believe what they believe.

My experience has taught me that the prophesies in the Book of Daniel have been fulfilled in history, and unless the scribes who translated the KJV could see 337 years into the future to predict the rebirth of Israel in 1948, the Bible is clearly more than just a book of ancient fables and Jewish law.

Nevertheless, people believe what they want to believe.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

To be weak minded is to believe that all that exists emerged from nothing and for no particular reason.

Yep, those Mormons, Buddhists and Hindus got me shakin' in my shoes.

There's no telling what they do next!

I don't have a problem with teaching comparative religion as long as it is unbiased. I think kids learning how others believe and the basic elements of all the major faiths around the world would be a good thing.
