So if a white shoots someone it's news, and if a black shoots someone it's ignored? Is that really the deal with the media?!

C'mon, the guy shot his girlfriend and the people she was with. It doesn't rate national attention.

When people who know each other have a dispute and shoot each other, it is not a tragedy. It is crazy people doing crazy things and usually has to do with drugs or money or both and typically, at least someone involved has a rap sheet. So it isn't news . . . it is just messy business b/n people who are violent and (usually) antisocial. Sad for any innocent victims but this isn't a national tragedy. It was a violent act perpetrated by a thug.

LOL, they cannot even block the gun show loophole. We are 100 years away from gun control and by then everyone will probably have particle weapons or something so it will be a completely different debate.

Don't worry about your guns, they are safe.

Hey, just another day in the US- what journalist Greg Palast calls "the armed madhouse"

Too many guns, in the hands of too many morons...
Greg Palast is a journalist? He sure has a lot easier job than most "journalists" seeing as how everything is the fault of the jews or space aliens he has already narrowed down the list of suspects.

What about the guy who opened fire and hit two people in Denver at the pot rally? Why no coverage?

But the left wouldn't like that - then they couldn't use his death to push for more gun control.
Well there it is folks the reasoning behind it all. More guns, not less, is surely the answer to retarded morons having guns and resorting to them by default when their little word goes awry or someone diss's them.

What an absolutely stupid way to live!

Frankly, it is difficult to keep up with all the shooting rampages going on in our country!

The US homicide rate has gone from 9.8 to 4.8 per 100,000 since 1991. Yay!

More people, more media attention, more instant coverage......more perception bias.

For example, my home state of IL has a homicide rate for Chicago of close to 16 per 100k, while the rest of the state has a murder rate <2 per 100k (which is about what it is in Canada for comparison).

The US gun problem is predominantly an urban gang problem.

No - guns are supposed to be used in self defense, or in specific recreational and competitive activities.

That is how law abiding citizens use them.

Criminals behave in the manner that you described - and by definition, they do not obey laws.
