Meh - it happened in Federal Way.

Not a bit surprising.

Reminds of a Dave Chappelle bit where a someone takes a black guy hostage. The kidnapper is on the phone with the cops, "Yeah, I got a black man here with a gun to his head...hello?"

Started out as domestic violence. The suspect killed his ex with a shotgun, then systematically started shooting everyone he ran into on his way to his car (eliminating witnesses ) arriving officers shot and killed the perp.

Hey, just another day in the US- what journalist Greg Palast calls "the armed madhouse"

Too many guns, in the hands of too many morons...

If the man in the other apartment who died investigating has been armed he could have killed the perp earlier and saved his life.

But the left wouldn't like that - then they couldn't use his death to push for more gun control.

I love how gun nutters believe that anyone who has a gun is capable of killing and stopping an enraged man with a gun. Just look at the Russian incident, a man killed a bunch of people in of all places, a gun shop. You would think someone would have been armed in there besides the perp.

At least from the article I saw, there aren't enough details to make an intelligent evaluation of the shooting in Russia. That does not stop anti-gun-nutters from leaping forth, of course.

Armed robberies of gun shops are not common. The vast majority of incidents I have heard of ended up along these lines:

snopes.com: Gun Shop Robber

So much for your point.

The media is only interested in inducing fear in the public with regards to terrorism and mass shootings in public places.

It's not about how many people die from preventable deaths. Hundreds fold and thousands fold more may die from heart disease, cancer, overdose of prescription drugs, but those aren't considered newsworthy

The truth is much of the media empathy is fabricated and the same for politicians which is why you should always be suspicious of their true motives whenever there is so much hype around a single event

The topic isn't proper for this forum. There's another, appropriate one. This is for politics, and other controverseys. Yes? So where's the controversey here, except that someone thinks this is the proper venue for discussion?

I agree the Current Events board might be more appropriate for this thread.
