Default Pothead Pigsty

"San Francisco park workers and volunteers spent much of Sunday picking up and hauling away 10,000 pounds of garbage strewn all over the eastern part of Golden Gate Park known as Hippie Hill, the remnants of Saturday's annual yet unofficial pot-smoking bacchanalia. But this year's annual celebration - which falls each year on April 20 and is known as "420" - drew a larger-than-average crowd of between 10,000 and 15,000 revelers on the warm weekend day. They proceeded to smoke, drink, eat and rack up more than $10,000 in costs for city crews to clean up the mess, ironically just before Earth Day. 'The people paying for all of this are going to be the taxpayers, so it's not without cost.'"

Take a look at the photos. Are these the same people that preach to others about the environment?

I think people would answer the question when you can prove that all pot heads are environmentalists.

It's your thread, your claim about the pigsty, so your burden of proof.

It was $10,000 whoopdidoo.

Politicians spend this on self-serving trips every minute of the day. $10,000 was probably the price to pay 2-3 employees with benefits to pickup the trash, oh the brutality.

The fact that people get upset over this is sooooo funny, of ALL the waste in this country considering how much debt we have people are actually even posting this? Good stuff

Why the attacks on the marijuana users lately? Probably because a majority support legalization/decriminalization.

That's good to hear, I was about to assume that every public event in the San Fran area was left as a pigsty like this one.

I don't see how litter and freedom are related at all.

This is simply a bunch of irresponsible people who don't respect their surroundings.

Do you live there? If you've EVER lived there, or close to the bay area, you know that the entire area is liberals. I'm pretty confident that 100% of the thousands in attendance were liberals. Raging liberals, in fact.

Not everyone in the bay area votes or thinks the same way, but everyone in the bay area that attended that event does.

If this was the people trying to promote legalizing pot, this is not how you win over hearts and minds.

Ultra music fest messed up downtown Miami traffic wise and sanitation wise for two straight weekends. It costa over $10K to clean it each time.

So, what's your point? People are slobs?
