All these alleged criminals want is to be charged or put on trial. What we are doing in Gitmo is unconstitutional, and in breach of international law. Its even more appalling in light of the recent study that outed the Bush admin as encouraging and allowing torture, on prisoners whom some were known FOR A FACT to be innocent.

Yet you all mindlessly applaud. Way to go.
These are not citizens......they dont have our rights.......

Gee Hawkeye, did you not notice that I wrote 'Location: Not the Philippines'?

I did this entirely for your benefit as you have (for some inexplicable reason) decided that I am from and live in the Philippines.

In that regard you are wrong and wrong.

But even so, the fact that the US army kicked out the Japs from there in WW2 does not let them off the hook for maintaining an illegal base in a foreign country (Cuba).

It ends when the war on terror is over.
Aww...eleven years.
How long should we detain enemy combatants?

Let them die, kill them all, it's good they're starving themselves to death... How are we any better than them wishing the same death upon them they do us? What if some of them are innocent? They haven't had a trial...

If the middle east doesn't favor us well in spite of all the cash we give them, then letting people go won't change their minds either.

Give them 3 packages of MREs and a gallon of water, then ignore them.

Some of these detainees as soon as they are let go, try to find ways to kill people again, when does it end?

Many are 'state-less.' We don't want them. Other countries, including the ones of their birth don't want them either. So, the answer to your question is "Not to long from now, if they continue not to eat ... and the government removes their life support."
