Once again... It does not matter if he was convicted or not. When taking a psychological examination/"lie detector test", this sort of information would become available. Apparently, sneaking into our country illegally is A ok.

I'm an immigrant too (not a US citizen, just live in the US) and honestly I don't think I'll ever put the US ahead of my home country.

I am deeply offended by your comment. My whole family on both sides are immigrants (legal) and now US Citizens and a lot of them served or are serving in our military forces (one of my cousins died in Iraq) putting America FIRST.

You guys are all arguing whether it's a felony, a misdemeanor, blah, blah, blah. It doesn't matter if you got caught or not when you take the lie detector/psychological exam.
Maybe America doesn't invoke the patriotic spirit it once did??? I guess an unjustified war and years of reckless/destructive politics can have that effect.

What is all this lie detector nonsense?
If the officer in question was given one, why would he need to lie about his status as a citizen? He didn't apply for the job when he was an illegal immigrant. He applied after becoming a full fledged citizen of the U.S.
If taking a lie detector exam was part of his employment, he obviously passed. He got the job.

The thief is a criminal whether caught or not. An undocumented individual is not a criminal for the reason of being undocumented. I hope that helps.

The person has to be found guilty in a court of law.

Yes. But if he's not caught or convicted, he could still be hired on as a police officer.

He'll be a thief that wasn't charged in the court of law. That's what counts. I mean they haven't found all the child porn on your computer yet so you still get to walk around not being a sex offender.
