After 40 years of legal abortion in the United States, the case for life is poignantly made by abortion survivors themselves. These are people whose mothers were headed to see the abortionist, but by a miracle of grace were saved. Now, looking back as adults, they realize that their personal connection gives them a responsibility to promote the message of life.
Three abortion survivors shared their stories with the Register.
Then for gods sake why don't these women adopt all these unwanted children. They want to promote life, then actually do something about these kids waiting for a home. What a joke.

The list of people who want to adopt is a mile long and people have to wait a long time. Many go over seas to adopt since there is not many babies to adopt here. Should they adopt older kids? Yes and many do but it's just a shame so many babies are killed when there are good loving homes waiting for them.

again shows that the pro-life movement are nothing but hypocrites. there are well over a million children over the age of 5 that are readily adoptable, but I don't see your ilk going to the board to stand in line to do so.
Hypocrites the lot of you

these good loving homes should be worrying about those that are already born, not those that are potentially to be born.

The list of people waiting to adopt a teenager out of foster care is NOT a mile long. Where the heck are all the anti-choice families lining up for them? Really? You lecture on saving every life and thousands of kids are stuck in the system. The anti-choicers should be ashamed of themselves.
It's absolutely nauseating to listen to the anti-choicers carry on about how sacred life is when it's obvious they quit caring about life once it's past the cute, cuddly, and healthy stage.

A couple of years ago when I checked, there were over 100 families on a waiting list for an exchange that wanted to adopt infant/child with Down syndrome. Most of the children in the system are held there too long, come in abused/neglected/exploited but infants are readily placed despite race and/or physical/mental disabilities. We are the adoptive parents of a son with DS so we are familiar with the "system". All of those children that you see "advertised" are very hard to place because the family has to have a lot of special qualifications and be able to put up with endless red tape and even then, those kids are workcount and I know that it is unbelievable but that is a fact and you also have foster parents who want to keep the children but not commit to adopting. There would be homes for the babies.
I had a friend who aborted a baby and she thought about it every time she saw a child about that age and wondered what her child would be like now.

Thank you for posting that since you are someone who is walking the walk. Seems some pro-choice just like to cry hypocrite when they know nothing about anything. There is too much red tape.
So Janelle, how many children have you adopted that are over the age of 5? Seeing as statistics show that any child over that age only has a 15% chance of getting adopted.
Practice what you preach, Janelle. Are you going to start adoption procedures for one of the millions of over the age of 5 children in our Foster care system?

How many have you adopted or do you just like to cry hypocrite? Practice what you preach, you do most of the complaining that these kids can't get adopted so DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
