I watched it and the way it is represented it looks pretty sick,BUT! We don't get to see the whole statement he made. TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT. Real Clear Politics is not being REAL CLEAR at all.
Gosh..I missed this in the testimony. This from Hicks:
Lawmakers partisan, witnesses emotional in Benghazi hearing
After Hicks received the phone call about Stevens' death, unidentified Libyans called to say Stevens was with them and American staff should come get him. “We suspected that we were being baited into a trap,” Hicks said. “We did not want to send our people into an ambush.” The Americans stayed put.

Yeah..I find it hard to believe that the DoD needs more than 7 hours to prep planes in case of an emergency in any of the ME countries where American citizens are stationed.
Scrambling a F4 there is one thing, getting a transport is another (31+ people needed to be moved), if one is not ready to go. The staff was headed to the airport (which is outside of the city) at dawn. It's not like they were going to land next to the consulate.
There was a debate in Congress about gun laws following Newtown, something that a majority of the country wanted. Hardly the same thing as using four dead diplomats to go on a witch hunt. I'm not surprised that you can't see the difference.

It wasn't for rescue at that point..it was for help.
Special Ops in Tripoli were told to stand down.
The State Dept didn't come clean until October before the hearings started.
State Dept said they knew it was a terrorist attack from the beginning and there was no protest in Benghazi.
And no one seems to care.

Libyan militia had to come save the annex what was it 9 hours later. They left em all out there on their own. Maybe if Hicks were gay Obama would have cared what with the election coming up and all.
Very good description of the Congressmen/women sitting there today :
Lawmakers partisan, witnesses emotional in Benghazi hearing
Lawmakers holding the contentious and politically charged session listened quietly. But in the opening moments of the hearing, they had wasted no time before trading partisan barbs—accusing each other of dark political motives, bad faith and just plain making stuff up.

No it's just another affront to the American citizens. We are supposed to get over it hadn't you heard that from Hillary and everybody else already? Apparently nobody really cares what happened they only care what they want the citizens of this country to think happened. You included.
