Who said Carney lied? He stumbled alot and tried to spin it. Just as the previous cd forum posted. It was nice to see the media finally ask questions. No matter what the evidence, if it is bad for Obama they can not comprehend it and will continue to ask over and over and over, what proof can you provide.
Why isn't the CIA being question on the lack of intell on the ground? They didn't even have enough intel to know that post was a sitting duck. Long before the attack the people at the post should have been asking the state department to get us out of here instead of we need more security.
and worse..it was their own post.
They knew all about the demonstrations that were going to happen in Cairo but were totally caught off guard on 2 terrorist attacks on their CIA base and annex in Benghazi.
Gates has fallen into the democrat's stupid trough.
It's the COVERUP, stupid!
Yes, they obfuscated and diddled each other whilst Benghazi burned. Nobody is professing to know exactly how it should have been handled from a defense point. But they lied, lied, and lied some more. Then said it didn't make any difference and death is part of life.
And even stupider people fell for it and defend it.
That's what's sad. And Hillary screeching is the real cartoon.
While there are certainly some people who seem to believe that US military is like Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen and just materialize and turn the bad guys into goo within seconds, the Administration hasn't exactly handled Benghazi properly.
Let us not forget that there was intelligence implying that an attack was likely as well as requests for security were denied. Let us not forget that the Obama Administration knew that this was a terrorist attack planned to coincide with the 12th anniversary of 9/11 and they went out of their way to blame it on some obscure YouTube video which only attracted more violence and then went on a tour basically apologizing for free speech. Let us not forget that Hillary blessed us with this gem when questioned about the some of the decisions that were made while the attack was underway, "What difference, at this point, does it make?"

Panetta called it an "intelligence gap".
Unfortunately it is not possible to know everything beforehand. Cairo riots were promoted in the internet, so of course everyone knew about them.
Seems Petreaus lied under oath when he first testified. Behind a closed door hearing there seems to be a different story - possibly the truth this time? Poor thing lied under oath for the administration and then they throw him under the bus by putting his affair out there to disgrace him and force his resignation. While he threw them a life preserver, they tossed him an anchor. At this point Petreaus has nothing to lose by telling the truth. Think he'll be appearing at a hearing??? I do.
Petreaus rejected the final version.
Quote:
According to new information reported for the first time by Jonathan Karl on ABC News’ This Week earlier this morning, Petraeus rejected the final version as “useless” — and then threw the issue to the White House:
We already knew that Petraeus was stunned by the revisions; now we know he rejected them personally. ”I would just as soon not use them, but it’s their [the White House] call.” That would contradict the meme over the last few days that this was an intramural fight between State and CIA with the White House just serving as bystanders. The CIA Director called the “demonstration” talking points useless the day before Susan Rice went on five Sunday talk shows, but the White House apparently disagreed. They, evidently, found the false narrative very useful.
