I guess you didn't pay much attention to the lockout. The players union didn't do jack to address safety or the retired vets. They just wanted the $$$. Oh and they still are holding out on allowing for performance enhancing drug testing. Why is that if they care so much about the players and their safety? Next time know what your talking about before popping off. Of course that would mean you would never post on here again.

No, I mind that too. It's why I am no longer a paying member of the Texas Exes (alumni association for UT-Austin).

Maybe so, then by your post, that means no one is trying to end football and you Cons are just trying to create a new scare tactic over false news. Which is typical of the right on this site.

Seeing that you replied to a post I was responding someone else telling them that there isn't some "liberal movement" to end football, it sounds like you are attempting to defend that person.

I don't look at that stuff too much. Just because somebody plays football, whatever sport at a high level, doesn't mean they are saints. You just see it plastered all over the place because they are in the spotlight especially at places like Texas or the NFL. Not too many universities are clean. Hell Texas was in the old SWC. I still want to know how they lost the bidding war for Dickerson!! lol

Actually my Portland Timbers are doing much better this year, so I am happy about that.

Now if only my Portland Blazers can pick up their game and make themselves more competitive come next year.

As for the player union, I was mostly referring to the union being against extending the season.

I think he needs to look at the numbers plus the cities who want franchises.

Also, I wonder how many blue cities have football teams in them, as well as how many liberals go to football games in general.
