Agony of woman jailed in secret: Daughter locked up for trying to save father from care home tells of terrifying police swoop

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2314346

Quote:
Wanda Maddocks is first person to be imprisoned by Court of Protection
Sentenced for trying to remove her father John from a care home
Family feared Mr Maddocks, an Alzheimer's sufferer was in danger of dying
But the judgment and her sentencing were not made public for six months
Court set up to settle the affairs of people too ill to make their own decisions [more]
This is just outrageously insane!

They trust Nancy and Harry - and buy their reassurances.

If the law was so benign, then why did Pelosi insist that "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it"

Answer - she knew that the bill would fail if the American people were allowed to learn the truth.

It happened in England but it is more than a little concerning, because like us, they are supposed to be a free society. It is the secrecy that is the most chilling.
