i await the day that a president will stand up and say " i dont want no library, what is the point, we have enough libraries and our kids are still dropping out"
If you were taught "I don't want no library" is proper grammar, I'd say we do need more libraries!
(of course, I'm obviously a tad biased on this issue - lol)
Besides, a Presidential library isn't like a public one... it's basically just a glorified museum, celebrating the President and supported by private funding. So what does that have to do with schools and public branches?
I've visited several presidential libraries and opw to visit this one also.I would think that more would be not likig Johsons's libery but it has huge number of visitors every eyars and historians love the aqccess to documants. As to leaving the spotlight Bush as donw what Clitno clearly can't . Certainly Clinton is a thorn in Obama's side more tha Bush.

You are right in that the housing bubble can be blamed on many people going back several administrations. Greenspan really fueled it in his response to the 2001 recession.
The Iraq debacle though can't be explained away or blame shifted. It was Bush, Powell, and Rice that wanted to remove Saddam Hussein even before 9/11 and they capitalized on their popularity in 2002-03 to get it approved. That was Bush's ultimate fatal mistake.

Why not? Seems strange that Obama would attend anything related to George W. Bush after he just spent the last four years blaming Bush for everything that has gone wrong in his administration. Seems hypocritical to me.
