I agree. He may not have come up with the idea on his own, but he was a willing participant. Up until the last second, he could have declined to participate. He could have notified the authorities. He could have warned people. He didn't have to do any of it. And he's old enough to know better, and therefore old enough to be held responsible for participating in the killing of four people and the maiming of dozens of others.
He can rot in hell.
I agree 100% I think this is something both people on the left and right agree: this guy was no a "victim".. he's a murderer. He applied for/got US citizenship, his family accepted welfare, his mom shopflifted and fled rather than meet justice.. IMO he does not deserve a US passport. Yes as a US citizen he deserves a fair trial, but IMO.. he deserves the death penalty. I'd be annoyed if he got life.
I feel no symphaty for him or his whining family and I'm surprised there are people out there who do.
Did you even bother to read the article before deciding to be difficult?
I suppose not, because the article lists a host of media figures and examples of a bizarre outpouring of sympathy and referring to Tsarnaev as a victim.
Just a couple of examples cited:
A greater and bolder array of pro-Dzhokhar sentiment emerged in the days to follow. There's the Amanda Palmer poem mocked around the internet, born out of "empathy and sadness" for Dzhokhar and, according to Palmer herself, composed in under ten minutes. There's a Daily Beast article provocatively titled "The Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Admiration Society," documenting the handful of conspiracy theorists who claim Dzhokhar was set up. Not to be outdone, the Huffington Post ran an America Magazine essay by a Jesuit deacon titled " Dear Dzhokhar, I Can't Hate You." "You are just a kid," it reads, "You must have been so afraid. You were a victim like so many are victims."
So do you have anything productive to add to the conversation?
His Mom said he was a sweet young man who would never do this and was set up.
What more proof do you need ?
Moms do that, hon.
I am also of the belief that he probably would not have, and may not have been capable of doing this on his own, without his older brother fueling the hate. That doesn't excuse his actions in the least, and he will deserve whatever punishment comes after due process.
How many idiots have you seen post that they thought he was "cute" I know young kids do not have full brain function and that the gray mater is still developing and I know that even Manson had his girls, but these fools are just sick. What kind of stupid kids are we raising?

He is a cute kid. Ted Bundy was a handsome guy too. That doesn't mean that they're not mass murderers. Maybe people point that out because we expect murderers (and rapists and child abusers) to look like some kind of creepy underworld character. I'm more shocked by the people--both young kids with the "free Jahar" movement, and the conspiracy theorists here--who are sure he's completely innocent. That's delusional.
