Like tourist visas?

Student visas?

Temporary work visas?

I would say yes, they are not here for the long run. As much as the children of illegals.

Traditionally from the very beginning of civilization those born on the soil of a nation are off the soil of that nation and are citizens of that nation for life. That's been the rule for a few thousand years. "Anchor baby" - maybe to some...The truth they are a citizen...and there is no getting around that.

I agree.

But to me both are anchor babies. You cannot call one group that and the other not.

They are not anchor babies. Having a baby here doesn't guarantee the parents citizenship, and more often than not, both the child and the parents leave this country.

Neither for the illegals the kid guarantees citizenship. They are anchor babies, the parents overstay and it is the same as a kid of an illegal

Yes, exactly.

BTW, babies born on U.S. soil to people here illegally, are also anchor babies.

Anything else I can help you with?

It only applies to the baby. If you are born here you are an American citizen even if your parents take you away.

If the kid stays here till age 18, and then petitions the parents in, then yes, it DOES pretty much guarantee citizenship.

It's sad when a grown ass adult hasn't figured out yet that any child born on American soil is and will always be an American citizen.
