Let me help you out a little bit. again, i asked the question "am i consipiracy nut" because i wanted to jog some conversation.
I am NOT a nut becuase in reality, i wasnt there, (were you?) So as i sat back and watched everything unfold, there were things that didnt add up. So i had questions. so not only does the news make mistakes, but if you think the government would never lie to you, you're the nut. all the facts you just spewed out were told to you, unless (as i ask again) WERE YOU THERE? if not, you dont have a right to call anyone a nut.
Also, dont tell me to worry about something "real", that ws very real. happened right in my backyard, and i have every right to ask questions!
I am not a nut because I wasn't there??????? How does your presence or non-presence have anything to do with the rationality of your perceptions? It isn't the questions that make you a nut. It's the answers you are willing to entertain. Distrust of the government is pretty much universal, but believing in complicated and widespread conspiracies isn't universal. If you are going to entertain the possibility of every conspiracy you hear about, that's nuts. If you are going to favor one specific conspiracy, then that theory must be coherent and sensible. It can't be, "I think this happened," and when someone points out the problems with one sequence of events, then, "well, maybe it happened this way," and when someone points out the problems with that sequence of events, rehashing the first version with a few tweaks. If you have a theory of how something happened, it has to address ALL the facts as known, not some of the facts, and it has to be cohesive and logical. Otherwise, it's irrational to believe in these theories.
I wanted to post this under a thread about the Boston Bombings, but I kinda feel like this deserves its own thread, I say this becuase really, it could be related to any other major tragedy...
I try to think critically of everything. I know not to trust everything i see or hear on TV. I love to question everything. I would like to think a lot of you are the same way. So then, why if anyone questions if we are getting the full truth, are they then a "conspiracy theaory nut"? I am from Boston. I watched as my whole city got shut down last friday with my eyes glued to the TV. I absorbed all of the info.
for me, now its time for questions...whereas for others, they are ready to accept the info they have been fed. So quick to label him (Tsarnaev) a terrorist and bash anyone who may think otherwise.
Im not saying this guy and his brother didnt do those things, but it is certainly not impossible that they didnt. All im saying is i believe that i do not have the whole story.
in regards to recent events: Did anyone on this forum actually see this man leave a bag there? did anyone see the video from the police cars from the crazy car chase? What about surveillance video from the supposed 7 eleven store robbery, or better yet, how about an interview with the clerk from the store that was robbed? They supposedly hijacked a car and told the man they were the bombers, where the interview from him?
and the list goes on...
I guess i say all this to say, its so frustrating to watch intelligent people bash each other and call people stupid becuase they dont just swallow the spoon fed info we get from the news.
Am i a conspiracy nut?
You are a conspiracy nut if you believe in something that is contrary to overwhelming evidence.
You are saying that you have questions? Don't you think EVERYONE has questions? The problem with so many people is that they want all there questions answered in full yesterday. Sometimes gathering facts takes time...actually usually it does. In the mean time try not to let the paranoids and and paranoia fester and multiply.

to be a conspiracy nut, wouldnt i have to have an actual theory about what happened? rather than just questions about the information im being given? i'm just saying lol
Also, on a side note~ a lot of new information has come out since this post, and maybe some before this was posted but maybe i didnt catch.

No you're not a nut, just asking serious questions. It's healthy to do so. What WOULD make you a nut is still questioning after knowing the truth.

Yes, ask questions, however, you have gone WAY over the edge. You asked what happened to the carjacking victim. No one has heard from him. No, they did and another poster posted his interview.
You turned around and said: How do I know this interview is even real? Really? You are paranoid and delusional. If this bombing was done by someone else, whom? Who did it?
There are drugs and therapy for conditions such as yours.

Am i a conspiracy nut?
Okay, I'm assuming that you're assuming that the investigative agencies working on this case have provided the nation with every detail, investigative piece of info, and the result of every investigation they have carried out?
to be a conspiracy nut, wouldnt i have to have an actual theory about what happened? rather than just questions about the information im being given? i'm just saying lol
No. Going into the whole thing with the assumption that the government is just making up lies about what happened without even a shred of evidence or a chance to seriously examine the evidence of what really happened is good enough.
"The government planned and executed this bombing" = conspiracy nut.
"I have no knowledge of what happened, but I know the government is covering something up" = conspiracy nut.

Im sorry maybe i missed something. but did i say either of those? i swear some of you need reading comprehension 101!
I think what you are trying to say is that my comments mirror your second example, however i never said that, i said (at the time) things werent adding up, and that i had questions. i dont beleive that is equal to "i know the government is covering something up" nice try though!
And to the other poster who said "doesn't everybody have questions?".....well the most simple answer no. not everybody thought twice about the information being given. and also, the people that did have question may have had differnt kinds of questions. some of the "who what where why" and some people, like me, heard things from the news and directly from the mouths of people that actually knew him, and things didnt add up!
I didnt say the government WAS covering something up, i merely said i wouldnt put it past them. i said it wasn't IMPOSSIBLE, and for that reason, some of my question are valid. questions...not theories.
The Dreyfus Affair: In the late 1800s in France, Jewish artillery officer Alfred Dreyfus was wrongfully convicted of treason based on false government documents, and sentenced to life in prison. The French government did attempt to cover this up, but Dreyfus was eventually pardoned after the affair was made public (an act that is credited to writer Émile Zola).
2. The Mafia: This secret crime society was virtually unknown until the 1960s, when member Joe Valachi first revealed the society’s secrets to law enforcement officials. What was known was that organized crime existed, but not that the extent of their control included working with the CIA, politicians and the biggest businesses in the world.
3. MK-ULTRA: In the 1950s to the 1970s, the CIA ran a mind-control project aimed at finding a “truth serum” to use on communist spies. Test subjects were given LSD and other drugs, often without consent, and some were tortured. At least one man, civilian biochemist Frank Olson, who was working for the government, died as a result of the experiments. The project was finally exposed after investigations by the Rockefeller Commission.
One conspiracy theory that hasn't been dispelled is the KC Ricin letter. I said from the get go that this smelled fishy and was possibly set up to divert attention from the feds and administration that were spooked by the possibility of an angry public outcry over a successful terror attack. They had his kooky letters on record and could quickly grab him and look like they were on the ball. Just doctor up a letter and say they thought it was from him.
So they made a big production out of arresting an innocent guy, then another innocent guy. We still don't know who sent the letters and probably never will.
This is what happens when you jump to conclusions. The second guy has been charged and has ties to the first guy.

I skimmed this and it's vintage Alex Jones. Jones offers no proof of any of this stuff, and to call the "Manhattan Project" a conspiracy, rather than a secret operation, is nuts.
