I spent a lot of time collecting data, but my post got deleted before posting a follow-up.

Anyway I insist.

Here is the data for the US. It's interesting that New England and the northeast in general is more religious than most of the Midwest.

What do the colors mean? Is white more religious or less? A key would be nice, as well as some source data.

Pretty sure the darker equals more religious just by looking at Mexico.

There are more theists in North Dakota than in Mississippi? That's pretty funny.

NJ, NY is pretty religious, even though many are liberals.

Doubtful. Look at Quebec...the most secular place in North America.

How is "religious" defined in the data? Theists count but do deists? Those that attend church count but do those who don't attend? etc.

Not at all....Over 94% of people in Quebec are religious. British Columbia is by far the least religious place in North America.

I've noticed while looking at the demographics of hundreds of towns/cities while looking for places to move to, that towns with a big Catholic population tend to be more liberal. Which doesn't seem to make much sense. But then again, I was raised Catholic and I turned out to be a flaming liberal!
