Good question. All I know is that when I was growing up (I am 64, so their parental generation), these kinds of crimes by that age group were virtually unheard of. That's why I'm asking the question. I'm open to all viewpoints.
Maybe underexposed compared to today, but they still occurred. If you go back far enough you had men beating their wives with no repercussions and black people being strung from a tree by cops.
These things are illegal and prosecuted now.

Domestic violence wasn't always a crime so if a man beat his wife you probably wouldn't hear about it.

Do you think that is representative of younger people? Or even Americans?

This is why we must have a 'Socialism for the 21st Century' agenda.
How many people died under capitalism? How many people died under socialism??? That's what I thought.

IMO we can't go wrong with what Jesus taught, "Treat your brother as you would treat yourself" but that may be too religious for you since you are an unbeliever.
You might be a believer, but you ain't much for studying what Jesus taught are you?Jesus was the original socialist as far as basic human rights, healing for all, equality for all ,feeding the orphans and widows and sharing among your fellow man..countless right wingers envoke the name of someone that they never knew nor who knows them either...just sayin

Yes,that is true..nothing bad or evil can come from Christ so chances are 99.999999% that no man made doctrine or political social experiment ever came from Christ neither from the right, left or center.
I cannot believe the violent crimes being committed, especially those murdering or attempting to murder girlfriends or boyfriends (Jodi A.), or their own children (Casey A.). Here's yet another one:
And so many more. It's just mind boggling. What's going on??
what is the old saying about the devil and idle hands?
Unemployment with young adults and teenagers is high, they have nothing to do, are feeling upset at the world around them. It does not excuse their actions, but I'm sure it adds to the problems and anxiety they face.

More people have died under capitalism - think WW2 and WW1 for a start!
I don't know how you equate WW1 and 2 to capitalism, but the Soviet Union alone is responsible for 61 million deaths.
