While white people need to learn to ask themselves, "could this be construed as racist" before making statements with references to race, we need to ask ourselves, "do they mean this to be as racist as it sounds to me?" before we react. I see both sides. Really the better comment would be "I love long curly, corkscrew hair on little girls" or "I wish my skin naturally looked like it was alway tan," because that's what they usually mean.
Not that they should assume all biracial kids will get that hair or permanently tanned skin.
