Why are we not having legislation to ban violent movies and video games? After all, they played a major role in Adam Lanza's life, and affected him as much as anything.

Because video games don't result in murder. If you look at countries like Japan, South Korea and The Netherlands, all with strong gamer cultures and all with gun control. The homicide rate is no where near what it is in the US.

Logical thinking is not a conservative strong suit.

Why would you want to ban something that impacts less than .1% of the population?

Many millions in the US play video games, only a handful commit crimes. No reason to punish 99.999999% for the actions of 0.000001%.

Freedom of speech, it would make no sense to ban movies or video games, though i do think we have a very violent based culture.

I wonder how many people have been beaten to death with game consoles or impaled by game discs or pistol-whipped with Wii controllers.

Why is it people want to deal with the all the peripherals and never with the culprit ?

What will you do once you are reduced to using sticks to live with and a murder is committed ?
If each murder results in a new ban what have you solved besides banning "stuff" ?

Thanks to video games, I uncontrollably smash every crate, barrel and vase I come across. People are starting to get pissed.

Yeah, I am a fan of the 2-D games of the 90s, the stuff that are out today are just too much for me.
