Whoops my bad...

Obama publicly supported the war as a war of necessity. Only a single Democrat voted against the war. Obama CHOSE to publicly support the war. Obama CHOSE to escalate the war once in office. Obama CHOSE to continue the war. Obama's choices have led to a dramatically higher US casualty rate under him than Bush. Yet the sheep refuse to hold him accountable for any of it.

LOL. I love how Republicans keep trying to pin the war on Democrats. Obama inherited two wars from GWB, and no amount of revisionist history is ever going to change that. W's administration facilitated a disinformation campaign to convince Congress and the American public that there were WMDs in Iraq, and that they posed an imminent threat to the U.S. It was all lies, but it worked.

You should be very proud of your "war president." He proved to be a master at manipulation. (Though to be fair, W was probably as much a dupe as Congress. The real manipulator was Cheney.)

No one beats the Afghans at home. They have beaten ISAF and NATO's ass. And come 2014, will soon be back to pre 2002 situations.

Lesson learnt?

The OP is correct, we should send more troops into a losing cause while he types on his keyboard from the safety of his apartment. The last 100 years of failure by the British and others in Afghanistan isn't enough reason, we will suceed at all costs, maybe she will report to the front lines with the 82nd laptop brigade.

Afghanistan is where great empires go to die.

Someone needs to go back to Bush's response to the inaction in Afghanistan. "It doesn't matter". So, gang, if it is so unimportant, why think cutting the ridiculous expenditures is a bad thing? Funny how the same people who hate government expenditures forget it when Pentagon contractors are making a killing. That's what I call a solidly compartmentalized brain.

Answer: Because of republican supply side tax cuts (and unneeded republican wars.)

Why do you want to forget about who started the war?
Why do you want to forget about why we are in debt?
How many times does one have to tell you that 0bama, Biden, Clinton, etc, etc, all voted FOR it? Hundreds? Will it ever soak in?

If only Bush and Cheney had read a few history books on Iraq, Vietnam and Afghanistan they could have saved many lives, maybe Bush should have read the book written by his pwn father on a withdrawal p;lan, invading a country is easy, withdrawals are difficult.

Withdrawal is easy. All you have to do is IGNORE the clowns who regard common sense as cowardice. Only insanity impresses them.
