Bush would have jumped on the fake 'evidence' as an excuse to invade... let's hope Obama has a little more sense.

"Al-Zoubi said the Syrian government is the one that called for an investigation of an incident in which it claimed chemical weapons were used by "terrorist groups." The government routinely labels rebel fighters as terrorists.

Syria does not have chemical weapons and would not use them if it did, he said.
The Americans "want to manipulate the issue, to let whoever used the chemical weapons ... get away (with it), and to repeat the Iraq example," Al-Zoubi said.

After a meeting on Friday with Jordan's King Abdullah, President Barack Obama reiterated U.S. "preliminary assessments" that "chemical weapons have been used on ... populations in Syria."

So your saying Iraq never used sarin gas on the kurds??

This is a different situation. I agree with you however that it's more likely the rebels are the ones using it and blaming the Syrian government. That gets the head bobbers to say well hell yeah we gotta send in the NATO bombers now.

20 years before baby Bush called for war against Iraq. The Germans invaded Poland, lets go to war with Germany.

Hope in one hand, s**t in the other...

Bummer loves to use the military, and he's been beating the war drum pretty intensely lately.

Don't have a coronary when Dear Leader includes US forced in a peace keeping mission to save the civilians being slaughtered by the Syrian regime (see Libya).

there are enough intelligence agencies around the world making the claim that syria has used chemical weapons, that it cant be ignored. it was the same with iraq years ago. there were also a large number of intelligence agencies that also claimed that iraq had WMD programs still running. again enough that it needed to be investigated one way or another.
