You want to have a rational discussion, tell your ignorant lefties friends to stop bringing up battleships, hand grenades, fully auto machines guns, fighter jets, rocket launchers, A bombs, and all the other things they bring up as normal everyday easy to buy over the counter weapons.
Apparently "the laws" work in Mexico because the drug cartels cannot get their hands on guns from that country and therefore must by them from the US where they can get them from a private seller at an open gun show.
You are so off the mark can't you see that? If you look at many of the photos of the drug war you can see that majority of their guns didn't come from U.S civilian sources their guns come from the American, Russian and Chinese GOVERNMENTS yet the government wants to ban your guns.
